Exploring a sustainable Human-Earth Relationship
We are in awe with the Earth. The Earth is huge. It is self healing and self sustaining. It creates beauty and supports millions of forms of life. How does the Earth do it?
We don’t know.
What we do know is that the Earth is not so big that all of our human activities are miniscule. We can no longer make the “Infinite Earth Assumption” that our grandparents were able to make. In the space of two generations the global impact of human activities has grown to a point that we are impacting the very life support systems upon which we depend. It is time to adapt and change.
What is needed is a new way of being human that fits in with existing life systems on the planet. It is a fundamental shift that can bring us into a life enhancing relationship with the Earth and all living things. The first step is sustainability.
The sustainability blog will explore facets of a sustainable human-earth relationship. Where can we do better and what specific changes we might make. The blog will focus on real solutions that we could start doing right now.
